Our vision

FAIRTAB's vision is a world in which all tobacco farmers, cigar rollers and all people working in the tobacco industry in third world countries can enjoy working in an environment that guarantees stable working and living-conditions and allows their children to receive sufficient free education and healthcare. These are basic conditions for men to live a secure and sustainable live, and to decide on their future.

We believe that fair trade is the fundamental driver to reduce poverty. It helps to greater sustainable development.

We believe that empowering people is the key for them to take more control over their own lives. Assisting them in organizing their own resources will build up a solid foundation for independent growth in the future.

We also believe that everyone has the responsibility to pay a fair price when buying from a third world country.

Our work is driven by the idea to make fair-traded tobacco-products more widely known to consumers all over the world. Paying a fair price for these goods helps producers to gain independence from the huge multinational corporations who still continue exploiting people in central America and Africa.

Our mission

Our mission is to help disadvantaged producers to promote and sell their products to consumers at a fair price. We want to empower producers to combat poverty and to take more control over their own lives.
